The sound will be static. But you can fix this by the instructions below.

In Visualboyadvance you go to Options/Emulator/SelectBiosFile/
and locate the bios file and load it. Then before loading metroid fusion, 
goto Options/Emulator/UseBios/

Now the sound is fixed!
